[Olpc-socal] OLPC-SF Summit October 18-20

Hi Folks,


How about a fun weekend in San Fransicso? In about a month (October 18-20) the OLPC-SF group will again host their "Summit." It is a time for folks from all over to get together and swap stories about their projects, challenges, and successes with OLPC related projects all over the world. They will have meetings, talks, workshops, and activities at the downtown campus of CSUSF. Consider being a part of this year's fun, either as a speaker or participant. Here is a link to information:

P.S. They are talking about having a Server "Sprint" right after the summit, on Mon 10/21- Wed 10/23 where they would work on coding for the various school servers they are developing. If you are interested in that, please send me a note and I'll put you in touch with the people involved.
P.P.S. Our new mailing list, SoCal-OSSIE is about half-way ready to go. There are about 170 members on this olpc-SoCal list and I have to add you all in groups of no more than 10… cutting and pasting each email address into the new list. Until I finish (probably in another week), we can continue to use this list.
