OLPC Southern California OSSIE (Open Source Software in Education!) This mailing list is for all OLPC/Sugar/OSSIE fans in Southern California. It is a place to exchange news and share ideas about ways to enhance the education of students through the use of open source resources such as Sugar. We have a small library of XOs that are available to check out for short term loans. Ask if you want to borrow an XO Laptop from One Laptop per Child, to expand learning with DIY free software like the Sugar Learning Platform: http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Roadshow_in_a_Box If you are using Sugar, either on an XO or using Sugar on a Stick (SoaS), please showcase your own work here, and on our map of Greater Los Angeles: http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Southern_California_OLPC_Projects A note about using this list: to avoid over-filling mailboxes, we have set this list to reply only to the sender. Using OLPC-SoCal
To post a message to all the list members, send email to olpc-socal@lists.laptop.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to OLPC-SoCal
Subscribe to OLPC-SoCal by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
