For people interested in project-based learning, UNESCO also has published a book for educators with guidelines to implement collaborative, digital creative projects with their student. it is online here:

The resource is from the Buck Institute for Project Based Learning (http://www.bie.org). I haven't seen their site before today, but it looks like it is definitely worth exploring.

FYI My friend's name is John Rivera; he teaches in Los Angeles Unified, is an "Apple Distinguished Educator" and a past-president of CUE-LA (Computer Using Educators, Los Angeles).
