Caryl, et al,

Is there an emulator for XO-1 or XO-1.5 that runs on Linux, BSD or OS X?

That would ease the docs testing.

I know next weekend is a big family/church/temple holiday and feast time, but if you have any spare time, OLPC really could use your help with their "Doc Sprint." The event will actually run from Friday April 6 to Tuesday April 10. People from all over the world will converge in Boston to "hole up" for several days in the basement of OLPC headquarters and work on a much needed update of the XO Users Manual.

This is something you can also involve your children (or grandchildren, or friend's children or friends) in doing. Chapters should be available and ready for testing around 1pm (4 pm EDT) daily. You can do it anytime in the afternoon or evening… just report the results so the writers can make revisions starting around 6 am PDT (9 am EDT) the next morning. We could even get together somewhere for pizza (beer optional)… maybe Saturday or Monday evening.
