Hi Tabitha,
Just following up from IRC.
When I last tried the below, I found the logs a little over whelming to make much real use of, but you might want to give it a try:

You also might find this document useful if you go digging and want some documentation:

Summary:
Testing build 301 collaboration between an XO-1 and an XO-B4 using Mesh, with power saving disabled.
- both XOs booted and auto connected to Mesh 1
- both XO buddy icons appeared correctly in the neighbourhood view
- sharing Chat from one correctly showed the Chat icon in the others neighbourhood
- clicking the Chat icon in the other XOs neighbourhood correctly started Chat
- after about 5 sec of (non obvious) negotiation, both XOs showed the other had joined the Chat session
- both XOs could send messages to each other
- the neighbourhood views each showed the other XOs icon correctly next to the Chat icon
Repeated the above for Write, all worked correctly as above. Wanted to note that it is great that we seem to have finally caught up with a more recent build of the AbiWrite libs, it's lovely to see that each collaborating user now gets given a different text ink colour automatically! Wo-ho! :-) On the down side the Write font is much smaller (about 50% smaller) than it should be (regression vs 767).
Also tested above with power saving enabled (as is default in 301). Successful, but with some caveats.
- on first boot at least one of the XOs went into suspend before it had a chance to connect to the mesh, had to wake it up again before the other could see it's buddy icon in the neighbourhood.
- network activity didn't seem to un-suspend, though manually waking the machine it seemed to catch up with what I though might be missed traffic (i.e. chat messages caught back up with what the other had been sending, neighbourhood would catch up with any new activities now being shared).
- on at least two occasions while testing an XO would not automatically suspend even though it was left alone. - once in a shared chat session, and once in a shared Write session. It would start suspending again later on for no obvious reason I could spot at the time.
Regards,
--Gary
