I don't see a problem with adding Debian style packaging, since it would
be done by people who might otherwise not be involved.  So there'd be
more people involved, and more itches to be scratched.

People who are responsible for the Fedora style packaging need not
become involved unless doing so would fix a problem that is blocking
deployment.

(e.g. as upstream for pptp, I get useful input from both my Fedora
packaging experts and my Debian packaging experts ... sometimes one of
them will fix something!)
