Hello all...

Hope your summer is going well. Our list has been very quiet lately, probably because we are all busy. If you have any items of interest to share, please send a message to the list. Similarly, if you have any questions that people on the list might be able to help with... just post it on the list. Here is an open source item of interest for teachers, parents, and developers that you might like to check out.

Etoys is free open source educational software by Squeakland. It comes in versions for Mac, Windows, and Linux machines plus a new special version called Etoys-To-Go. This version can be loaded on a USB flash drive and moved from computer to computer allowing you to use Etoys without having to get permission from system administrators. You can also save projects and take them from computer to computer. For more information, check out this link and scroll down to the middle of the page:

And, to see the top 24 projects so far, check this link:

If you are interested in volunteering to help develop Squeak, you may wish to contact Squeakland at this link:

If you try Squeak and like it, please share your experiences with the list! :-D
