IRC channels are really easy to set up - just join a channel, and if it 
doesn't exist, it'll be created. All you have to do is agree on a 
channel name so everyone shows up in the same place. I'd suggest 
#ekindling on freenode.

You may, however, want someone from eKindling to register your channel.
