Hi Raquel,
if you want to get involved in Software Development, you can look at www.sugarlabs.org and wiki.sugarlabs.org or visit the #sugar irc channel on IRC.freenode.net. That is there the software is built for most users of Sugar and OLPC. Read this:http://www.flossmanuals.net/make-your-own-sugar-activities/Beyond that, there are OLPC pilot projects in various parts of the world that are working on their own Sugar activities. But you'd need to find and ask them what they need help with: Nepal, Philippines, Uruguay, Paraguay, India, etc. You can also try to contact George Hunt in the NY area.-K

Hey guys! Happy holidays and merry new year.
I just joined the NYC chapter and am looking to get involved with OLPC efforts, either locally or abroad. I've been in software development for about 7 years and am interested in putting my skills to use as a volunteer. What upcoming projects does the chapter have in 2013? I looked through the wiki page but it seems like the meetup group is defunct, and most events listed are from 2010. So what's up guys?
Warm regards,
Raquel
