Hello there and happy autumn! It's been a great summer for FIGMENT on
Governors Island, with nearly 25,000 people coming out for the FIGMENT
weekend in June, and perhaps as many as 200,000 visiting FIGMENT
Terrace, playing minigolf and interacting with the sculpture garden
over the summer... Now it's time to put all our toys away... and begin
dreaming up ways to make FIGMENT 2011 even bigger and better!

We need as much help as we can get to take it all down... If you had a
good time at FIGMENT, or came out and played with the interactive
sculpture or minigolf course over the summer, please come out to
Governors Island to help us tear it all down and put it away! Helping
with de-installation is a great way to meet lots of wonderful
people--artists, team members, and volunteers who make FIGMENT happen,
become a closer part of our community, and build connections that help
you get more involved in FIGMENT as an artist or team member next
year... And we still have a few FIGMENT 2010 T-shirts left that we'll
be giving a way (while supplies last) to those who come out to help!

The big day for de-installation is this Saturday, October 9 (Governors
Island closes for the season on Sunday, October 10!). Please email
volunteers at figmentproject.org if you can help, or sign up here:
http://figmentproject.org/2010/get-involved/volunteer-login/. We're
trying to take everything apart and put it all away on this day, so we
could really use your help! Please come out on the 10am ferry if you
can!
