Tri Makasi, Pak Octavius.
I believe I can help contribute to (a), but it might take some time. I am
attempting to install Sugar to get a better grasp of the OS so I that I can
contribute to (b). I am working to devise a strategy to address item (e),
but before I can do so, I am familiarizing myself with the OLPC Deployment
Guide, as we speak.
I agree, starting small and, of course, remaining committed to expanding
the program is the most financially feasible option for myself and my
partner.
Initiating the program in Jakarta, might be a good way to gain exposure, as
well. I'm intrigued with Ken Kahn's project and previously read his OLPC
proposal - I would love to reach out to him for pointers.
You've brought up good points in coordinating the project, but if I may
add, there other things that need attention, as well:
(f) Project Objectives - as the main point of the project is to provide
children and educators a dynamic and effective lesson plan that will
eventually be implemented independently.
(g) Plan of Action
(h) Sharing Deliverables
(i) Quality/Mentoring
(j) Timeline
In regards to the above, I find myself grappling with a an effective
Project Objective that will serve as an integral means of raising funds.
The other points will inherently follow. I know how to get the hardware
and have it delivered to Indonesia. Raising funds may take some time, but
I intend on getting it.
Thanks for your input and would welcome your thoughts on how we and others
can work together on this. The more the merrier as they say.
Kind regards,
