[Localization] Tools to check translation consistency?

Hi all,


Is there a way to check for translation consistency across different 
software/modules?

Or it is something that will need some grep and shell-scripts? I 
remember reading an open source software that can help this, but dont 
remember where it was.

Any pointers or help appreciated.
