OK, waiting for original-text review is always a good idea. However, all [1] the docs I translate are converted into PO format. I gather from the Translation Team link below that you refer to:

I'm still clicking around on this site, trying to find out how to use it to translate a manual. Maybe I missed an obvious link?

Thanks for the links. It would certainly help to have the Translation Team link on the homepage of the OLPC Pootle. You could add it to About this Pootle.

[1] I have started doc and webpage translations without the advantages of a real translation format, but have never been able to keep up with them. So all the ones I maintain are PO (but I'd be happy to work in XLIFF as well).
