[Localization] Localised LiveCDs, is it possible?

The latest version of LiveBackup-based XO-LiveCD
(http://lists.laptop.org/pipermail/devel/2008-January/010491.html) has
implemented locale switching feature for some languages. It would be
good if your language is covered...
I have been looking into this for our language (Japanese) but stuck
right now about how to install additional fonts and input method
engine (like SCIM) onto XO image in the LiveCD...
