Hello Everyone,
There is a new version of Scratch available for download here:
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Activities.
This version of Scratch uses larger fonts for better legibility and also
adds Unicode support for all non-Western languages.
While this version of Scratch now comes in 30+ languages, translation is
still very actively in progress.
All translations for Scratch will be done using OLPC's Pootle server:
http://dev.laptop.org.
How you can help:
1. Sign up on Pootle and add to the existing Scratch translations, or
add your own language: https://dev.laptop.org/translate/
2. Visit our draft how-to page (a work in progress) and suggest
improvements:
http://scratch.wik.is/Support/In_many_languages/Translating_Scratch
3. Email evelyn at media.mit.edu if you are interested in helping us
develop a tutorial on how to localize the Scratch *media* files to other
cultures (sounds/images/sample projects)
Please do not hesitate to email evelyn at media.mit.edu with any questions
or suggestions regarding Scratch's localization support.
Thanks for your time and contributions!
Sincerely,
Evelyn Eastmond
