Its good to hear that all the effort Paul and I have been putting into 
refactoring the EC code is paying off.

However, its possible that there might still be some periods where the 
touchpad is blocked for long periods.  To know for sure someone needs to 
watch the clock line on the touchpad interface and see how long its held 
low.
