- From the description is obvious that it includes Sugar and activities. But I
couldn't figure out that from the name. I thought that "Backup CD" is something
that provides the ability to back up other people's data.
Where can I find more technical documentation on that ? Is it based on Ubuntu?
I would like to stick to Fedora and RPM for a number of reasons:
- I'm used to it and it's cool
- The remixing tools are easy and straight forward to use. I don't want to
spend too much time when need to produce a new build. Just start one command and
let it finish. (Probably the same with Ubuntu, but I've never tried)
- The remixing tools don't need to set up a complete build environment as
compared to sugar-jhbuild
- I would like to include additional educational software on the CD (GNOME or
other X desktop) and Sugar is just a piece of that.
- Finally I would like to have a meta package that will allow a standard distro
to "upgrade" to my customized version.
Thanks,
Alexander.
