Blocks? and bug 8090

Sorry, to clarify:  I think we should remove blocks?:8.2.0 from #8090,
since we clearly aren't going to fix all those bugs.  However, we
should add it to #7669, which has a patch awaiting review, since that
ticket solves 5 others if the patch is accepted.
