This may be: but you have to convince upstream (LKML) of these merits
first: this doesn't strike me as vital enough for OLPC to carry an out
of tree patch against the Linux kernel console system that we can afford
to do so. And I think the arguments need to be made by those affected
that they *actually* care, for the arguments to be heard there, along
with actual patches. And I know we don't have the time to do patches
here....
