D-Bus should run on OSX fine. We just have no way of starting a session
bus with your session but you can start sugar with a session bus.

Even running sugar outside of a jhbuild root or virtual machine in Linux
is hard work. On OSX the best ways to work is through jhbuild or
vitalization software such as qemu, VirtualPC or Parallels.
