[olpc-help] A Big Question about XO Laptop!

Hello,
     I just emulated the Sugar OS on my PC and thought that it was missing
few things like a messenger which should allow chats not only laptop to
laptop but online too and many other like multi tabs cant be opened, so a
question cam to my mind can any other Linux(e.g Ubuntu, Redhat, Fedora) be
installed on XO? and does it have a CD or DVD Rom? Please answer my both
questions and take care.
