 Do you have a serial adapter?  If so I'd like to see the EC output when
 this occurs.  The same adapter you use for the console serial will connect
 to the EC serial connector.  Thats the connector thats in the cutout on
 heatsink.  You have to remove the heatsink.

 There is no problems with running the system with the heatsink removed.
 We don't get anywhere near thermal max.
