Comment:

 I find your argument for adding the package unpersuasive.  Viewing of
 kernel configuration, like dumping object files, is not a task that needs
 to be supported out of the box for our target users.  Both functions can
 be added later using yum, or the files can be extracted from the laptop
 and processed elsewhere.
