Comment:

 Saadia reported that this problem only occurred when running from battery,
 not an adapter.

 When the CPU freezes and VCORE rises, there is no change to CPURST# or
 CPUPWRGD.
 A scope trace showing the CPUSTP# toggling and then VCORE rising when the
 CPU freezes is available at: http://dev.laptop.org/~wad/10858.png  In that
 trace, yellow is VCORE, blue is VRDSLP, and magenta is CPUSTP#.
