 It does not seem to be practical to packet filter in the Chat instance ...
 there might be other Chat groups on the local network, so we'd have to
 filter by stateful inspection of the group identifier in the XML.  Then
 there's all those other activities.

 Even if we wake on multicast, we don't have a way to know whether we
 should immediately sleep or not.  If we wake for 15 seconds, then on any
 network with more than one XO we will stay awake, since an XO advertises
 presence frequently.

 It's a zero sum game; either we have XO to XO collaboration that works
 perfectly, or we have suspend.

 Can we decide that what we have now is adequate?
