#10137: XO-1.5 camera FPS limit inaccurate?

Comment(by corbet):

 So...it never occurred to me to actually time frame rates. Indeed, what's
 coming out of the camera is way higher than it should be.

 ov7670 frame rates work like this: there is a clock going into the sensor,
 and a "clock divider" value telling it how many clock cycles it should
 drop for every one it lets through. So what is going on here is that the
 1.5 is clocking the sensor much faster than 1.0 systems do - perhaps
 faster than the sensor is specced to go.

 I can certainly put a hack into the via-camera driver to tweak the clock
 divider, though I hate to do that. I guess I'll start by pulling out the
 diagrams and data sheets and seeing if I can control things more directly.
 Stay tuned.
