 I believe "running out of memory" is the problem you are encountering.  I
 have no problem running Speak-11 (nor Speak-12) on 802B5 -- but my XO
 systems make use of an active swap partition (which in effect compensates
 for "running out of memory").

 In any case, Speak (including the robot function) works well for me on
 802B5.
