Comment(by pgf):
ah ha. tested with "dmesg -n 5", with this resulting log:
{{{
+r[ 105.091540] sdhci_reset: wlan w/u control is 0x0
[ 105.096470] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 14
[ 105.111507] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 14
[ 105.163214] sdhci_set_ios: power off for mmc0 from b0671325
[ 105.169105] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 0
[ 105.174005] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 14
[ 105.192073] mmc2: error -123 during resume (card was removed?)
[ 105.223233] sdhci_set_ios: power off for mmc1 from b0671325
[ 105.229132] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 0
}}}
this looks familiar?
for comparison, a normal resume with that log level set looks like:
{{{

[ 95.196333] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 14

[ 95.263205] sdhci_set_ios: power off for mmc0 from b0671325
[ 95.269093] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 0
[ 95.273999] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 14
[ 95.323194] sdhci_set_ios: power off for mmc1 from b0671325
[ 95.329127] sdhci_set_power: new power value = 0
[ 95.535062] sdhci_pci_probe: Enable PME is 0x100
[ 95.540085] usb usb2: root hub lost power or was reset
