 the above trace has been verified on a second C1 on which wad observed
 this crash.

 another possible way to reproduce and verify without serial, at least on
 the prebuild machine, and on #6, is:
  - switch to a console screen
  - killall ohmd
  - dmesg -n 5
  - rtcwake -s 240 -m mem

 when the wakeup occurs, the screen may go blank.  push the power button to
 unblank it, and look for the "mmc2: error -123 during resume (card was
 removed?)" message.

 [ since i started writing this note, the prebuild machine hasn't shown the
 error using this method.  but #6 did, so i'm submitting anyway. ]
