 I thought that when only the screen dims, the system is NOT YET in "idle
 suspend".  If I remember correctly, there is a short time interval between
 when the screen dims and when the power LED goes out (i.e., starts its
 pulsing cycle).  Am I wrong in thinking "idle suspend" should describe the
 state when the power LED is blinking ?
