Comment:

 The initial design of the OLPC featured the size of the slice of the
 original "circle of activities" shown for each Activity being proportional
 to the amount of resources taken by that Activity. One could see when
 there were no more resources left. [It turned out to be difficult to
 measure the resource use of each Activity - the scheme was dropped.]

 Let me suggest putting an icon (e.g., an exclamation mark) above the
 central XO on Home View. The fewer resources were left (IN THE SYSTEM) for
 starting a new Activity, the greater the "fill" of that icon. When there
 are insufficient resources left, that icon would function as a visual
 "STOP" imperative.
