By running the X composite manager (xcompmgr) we can prevent applications
running under Sugar from unmapping the memory they use when they are
switched away from view. Doing so increases our memory usage, but also
decreases CPU usage during activity switching (as the applications don't
have to redraw themselves). The overall effect is a marked improvement in
 window manager responsiveness.
