 $ top  indicates that the Clock activity (version 3 tested with build
 8.2-767) uses about half of the XO CPU resource, including work delegated
 to X.

 Running one or more instances of Clock noticeably slows down Sugar and
 other running activities.  This is sufficient reason to not distribute
 Clock in an activity pack.

 Probably some programming changes could make Clock more efficient.
