 That's very interesting.  Clock is specially designed to be as efficient
 as possible, doing all work inside the X server using pixmaps.  In
 previous builds, it appeared to use less than 10% of the CPU.  When Clock
 is not visible, it should draw precisely zero CPU cycles.

 I should investigate.
