 There were 3 images with filesize over 500kB each. I replaced them with
 smaller versions under 20kB.  Now neither Firefox nor Browse have trouble
 with Community News.

 The immediate problem has been fixed (the wiki page), but the sensitivity
 of Firefox and Browse to killer web pages is not yet fixed.  There are
 other Trac tickets for that.  So I will close this ticket.
