 Activities that deal with data management will not care what is actually
 in the data.  For example, activities for distributing objects, pushing
 them into the underlying filesystem, or interacting only with their
 metadata or version history may not care what the underlying type is.
 These activities should be able to specify "mime_types = */*" in their
 activity.info
