 a few times x failed to start on one of my XOs, and it became stuck in a
 reboot loop.

 unfortunately I was unable to capture the info on why x failed to start
 because the XO was stuck in a reboot loop, and I had to reflash it to
 recover.

 a better solution would be to switch to run level 3 before triggering the
 reboot.

 this actually occurred in build 706, but it won't let me enter this in the
 version field.
