 Something is amiss with this theory... xpdf uses around 4MB to show 1 page
 of that book. Read uses about 20MB when displaying a "typical" page (which
 I guess accounts for pages back and fore cached), even the first page with
 the illustration. ONLY when I select page 5, does it's memory start to
 skyrocket exponentially, yet page 5 and its surrounding pages are quite
 innocuous. Even if it were rendering 1000x1000x4 bytes for a page, that's
 only 4MB to cache, not 500. To me, it still seems to be a bug.
