 Caching pages in the future is more important than caching pages already
 read, given to the slowness of the machine and the way books are normally
 read (i.e. beginning to end.) Having the next (1) page loaded while
 reading the current page is a HIGHLY desirable behavior - 5 pages would
 seem excessive given the memory constraints. Rendering in monochrome might
 be a bandaid solution if possible. xpdf appears to cache neither forward
 nor backward, which probably explains why it runs OK on the XO, but why
 evince is used instead.
