 Probably better to use:

 http://oligarchy.co.uk/xapian/patches/xapian-flint-olpc-compat-v2.patch

 The only difference is that this ensures that the old_version flag is
 initialised in the "create a new database" case.

 Both versions pass Xapian's own testsuite.
