 1 The user sees random crashes or failures. We found two of them, there
 are likely more.
  2 Conditions can vary. In the case of this ticket downloads never start.
 We also found that all the browser dialogs was crashing the browser when
 closed, because of the same issue.
  3 Workaround is to delete compreg.dat. Unfortunately it's under a
 numbered directory in ~/isolation, so it's little more complicated to
 explain how to delete it.
  4 Yep, it happens only on upgrades.
