 Yay, we are in luck. There is a really simple hack to get the desired
 behaviour. We just need to set the wrap_width in toolcombobox.py to 1.

 I need to do some work in the theme to get the right color for the ACTIVE
 button, but that is possible (even if ugly, it is really a GTK+ bug that I
 am going to report upstream).
