 I can't get to a prompt because of this bug and one or two others, so I
 can't tell.

 I didn't muck with NetworkManager. Even if I had though, that's not a
 reason for sugar to fail. A bug in one program (NetworkManager, etc.)
 should not cause other software (sugar, etc.) to come crashing down like a
 house of cards. That's just not robust; things WILL go wrong.
