 Of course it's not perfectly robust.  There isn't enough time to cover
 every corner case, so we make decisions based on the default setup of the
 machine (Sugar + NetworkManager) and we make those work as well as
 possible within the time available.  Other cases will obviously not get
 the attention they might eventually deserve because there is not infinite
 manpower to fix everything under the sun.  What I'm saying is that if you
 were not running NetworkManager, then it is certainly possible that sugar
 may be crashing due to this; and that it's not _as_ high priority to fix
 that since there are quite a few other bugs that should get fixed first.
