 Note for fixing this; if NewChannel is hooked from before Connect is
 called, then the roster channels will arrive in NewChannel signals when
 the roster is downloaded (roster channels are always created
 automatically). All you need to do then is make sure that the other parts
 are robust so that they don't fail if PS methods are called before the
 roster has downloaded.
