Comment:

 The color gamut is somewhat limited in the current display.

 But to increase the efficiency of the display, the angular dispersion (not
 sure what the right term is), was deliberately limited; otherwise the
 power consumption is higher.

 Mary Lou is investigating alternative backlight bars that would greatly
 increase color saturation (but at some minimal additional cost).
