Comment:

 I think it's clear that Read is an individual activity.  In light of
 suggestions such as those in #2733, we're may actually place stronger
 preference for using read for all relevant formats (.txt, .rtf, .pdf,
 etc.) even when accessed from the web.  I think the bigger issue to solve
 now is how to have read handle a few of these other formats nicely, while
 keeping the overall design that's already posted on the wiki.

 With the paging arrows (and the removal of the read icon from the frame
 altogether) I don't think that reducing the base set of activities is a
 concern for this ticket.

 I propose that we close this ticket in favor of opening individual tickets
 in the read-activity component for additional bug reports and features.
