Comment:

 I think this is a fantastically useful feature, but I don't think it's as
 high a priority as more fundamental aspects such as versions, searching,
 robustness, and performance at this point in time.  This is an example of
 a feature that's easy to layer on later, without affecting the base
 behavior and introducing incompatibilities.

 I'll bump it to FRS for now, but it will likely even come later.  Let's
 make the basics as solid as possible.
