 You mean for non XO keyboards, like a laptop under Xephyr?  If so, yes,
 that should work, as long as we consistently treat Alt as the XO's "Fn"
 key.

 Here's the problem though:

 We already map F12 to Volume Up on the XO, because F12 is actually the
 Volume Up key on the keyboard.  We _can't_ also map View Source to F12.
 Right now, with the current key mappings from olpc-utils and from X and
 the EC, we have to pick _either_ Volume Up == F12, or View Source == F12.
 We need to get the key scancodes changed in the EC code.

 But anyway, on a non XO system, treating Alt as the Fn key would fine,
 because you have to get Xephyr to grab the keyboard anyway to register the
 keypresses.
