Thanks for testing!

That's expected.

(I use a magnet and wave it at the microphone then the camera. The
magnet has to have poles aligned left and right, in the correct
polarity. Alternatively you can do as you did, which is required in
manufacturing tests, and move the laptop around yourself. This is the
more correct way to do it, since it is also the worst configuration for
cooling.)

It tests the heat spreader. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_spreader

If you choose to run technical tests, you should not be surprised at
being given more data than you can handle. ;-)

If this is a prototype preproduction laptop, then the failure is
expected. Give me the serial number and I can check.

If it is a production laptop, then this failure means that the heat
spreader is not fully in contact with the processor. If you would like
to investigate that, consider missing screws on the heat spreader anchor
points, or bending damage.

This is a known problem with a preproduction prototype model. Give me
the serial number and I can check. See
http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/9914 and
http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/10006

Given that you have this problem and the heat spreader test failure, it
is probably a B2 model you are using. Give me the serial number and I
can check.

By the way, these instructions are for the XO-1, not for the XO-1.5. If
you would like to update them for the XO-1, please do. I've marked the
page dated.
